WCW:  What are you wearing right now? 

JA:  Right now I am about 5 months pregnant so “fashion icon” I am not! I am wearing a pair of Vince cotton pants, cotton tank by James Perse, grommet –full Pedro Garcia flats (available at net-a-porter.com) and a JOYAAN cardi-wrap from two seasons ago (I still love it!)

WCW:  Where do you find inspiration for new designs?

JA:  I get inspired from art houses in London, not only do I love their art but their personal style has an impact on me. I also am an avid people watcher, I try to learn and appreciate where the costumer is at in her fashion journey.

WCW:  Who is your style icon?

JA:  I love Helena Christiansen when she was at the top of her modeling career her style was just beginning to flourish today she is a total style icon.

WCW:  Is there any designer that you have always admired or try to emulate?

JA:  There are so many designers I admire and for different reasons. Manolo Blahnik is a designer whose consistency is astounding and whose simplicity is so appreciated. I admire my dad for his ability to bring edgy fashion to a broad audience while remaining new and refined.

WCW:  If you could dress any historical figure or celebrity who would it be and why?

JA:  I would love to dress Nicole Richie again because she has really come into her own style and has the confidence to make any garment shine.

WCW:  Who is the best dressed male?

JA:  Jude Law

WCW:  Who is the best dressed female?

JA:  Kate Moss

WCW:  When or how did you decide that you wanted to design clothing for the rest of your life?

JA:  I was born into a family who does it so I think I was about 2 weeks old when I made that decision.

WCW:  What is the difference between fashion and style? 

JA:  Fashion – has become an industry of things that have style. Style – is an attitude, the way something is done, said, performed or expressed.

WCW:  What is your definition of style?

JA:  Style is an expression possessed by something or someone and activated by the senses. It is distinct to the individual and holds different meaning in the eyes of everyone moved by it.

WCW:  What is your description of a perfect outfit?

JA:  A perfect outfit is something you feel the most confident in because you can only bash a person outfit intimidates them.

WCW:  What is the most essential article of clothing in any outfit?

JA:  Shoes

WCW:  What is the hottest trend that people should know about?

JA:  To the fashion conscious, clothing is just as important as the accessories you choose to marry them with. Shoes, jewels, hair accessories etc can take a good garment and make it great or straight up kill every ounce of class and integrity it holds. Accessories are the hottest trend when handled correctly.

WCW:  What trend do you wish would disappear?

JA:  I wish the disheveled frumpy fashionistas would just, well – take a shower.

WCW:  Is there anything you would like to add?
