When it comes to celebrity beauty, Charlotte Howells, editor of KissandMakeup, is an expert that you need to know!  As part of the Shiny Media team, she reports on the latest beauty finds and styles to keep us all in the know.  We caught up with her to get the low down on what's hot and how you can acheive star status!

What make-up trends are you seeing on the red carpet?
Eyelash extensions, perfect red lipstick and flawless skin as always.

What is the most essential beauty product that no celeb would leave home without?
In reality, probably Botox - be it for wrinkles and fine lines or to stop sweat patches. Freeze 24/7 is a great non-needle alternative.

Any secrets you can fill us in on?
Batiste Dry Shampoo is great for hair that really should be washed, or for creating those styles that your hair usually slips out of.

What are some products that celebs can't get enough of?
The Yuroll is a jade facial roller - you run it over your face like a rolling pin and it promotes Lymph drainage. With the long list of benefits it's no wonder it's selling out fast - a daily rolling is supposed to reduce puffiness, lines, congestion and spots and even relieve hay fever. Kate Moss and Kylie Minogue are just two of its celebrity fans.

Make-up brands of choice for you and the celebs?
For me, Max Factor, Benefit and Mac are some of my current favourites. Ramy is an in-demand celebrity makeup artist with his own range, he gave Britney her new divorcee list and his list of clients includes Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie. According to Ramy his number one celebrity secret is his Elixir Liqui-Powder Foundation, which is a liquid that dries to an ultra fine powder 'it feels like air, yet covers blemishes, scars, discolorations like the heaviest foundations'.

How do celebs look so flawless?  Is there something that we don't know?
Yeah, teams of people that make them look hot! Airbrushing, extremely talented make-up artists and strategic lighting. As the latest Dove adverts show, anyone can look A-list with the right team.

Who do you think exemplifies beauty?
Kelly Brook, Kate Winslet, and Scarlett Johansson are all naturally beautiful. 

 What is your definition of beauty?
Someone who is comfortable in their own skin and it shows. 

What's hot, what's new, etc.
